Commentary on Papers Presented at the New Orleans Shark Symposium and Some Reflections on Current Shark Research

The fifteen papers presented at a symposium, organized by Dr. R. Glenn Northcutt, entitled "Recent advances in the biology of sharks" are briefly summarized. Comments are made where appropriate and fruitful areas for future research recommended.
